QUẢNG NGÃI — The People’s Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province on Thursday afternoon convened a meeting to review the progress of the resettlement component under the Nước Trong Reservoir project, with Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền chairing the session.
At the meeting, the Provincial Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board reported on the project’s implementation, achievements, and remaining challenges.
While most tasks have been completed in line with the provincial authority’s timeline, some delays have occurred due to objective reasons, including the transition to a two-tier local government model that disrupted staffing arrangements, as well as difficult mountainous terrain hampering the handover of land demarcation markers.
Vice Chairman Hiền commended the efforts and responsibility of local authorities in carrying out the project under provincial leadership.
He also endorsed proposals presented by the management board.
He requested the People’s Committees of Sơn Hà, Tây Trà and Trà Bồng communes to urgently resolve outstanding cases related to land allocation and encroachment where clear documentation is available.
The Vice Chairman also directed the management board to work with relevant agencies to complete on-site demarcation, providing the basis for final settlement of the project.
