Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang inspects storm response measures for Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi)

On the afternoon of September 27, immediately after the meeting of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee on storm and flood preparedness, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang inspected key locations across the province to direct storm response efforts.

At the construction site of the Tịnh Hòa storm shelter and fishing port upgrade project in Đông Sơn commune, the Department of Agriculture and Environment reported that contractors had promptly moved machinery out of danger areas and taken measures to ensure worker and infrastructure safety.

Chairman Giang instructed the investor and contractors to urgently implement specific storm prevention measures, including securing equipment and reinforcing works before the storm.

At Tịnh Hòa Fishing Port, where 350 vessels are currently docked, Cổ Lũy Border Guard Station confirmed that all fishing boats had been notified of the storm’s path and most had taken shelter safely. The PPC’s Chairman requested functional forces to check and reinforce mooring systems, guide fishermen in arranging vessels properly, and strictly follow safety procedures to avoid collisions or anchor breakage.

Chairman Giang also directed localities to intensify communication, support residents in reinforcing houses, and cut trees at risk of falling, especially in Lý Sơn Island, coastal communes, and along major roads.

For construction projects, he emphasized the need to ensure the safety of workers, equipment, and works, while strictly applying the “four on-the-spot” principle in storm and flood response.

All agencies and localities were urged to remain vigilant, strictly follow directives from the Prime Minister, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, and the PPC, and complete the evacuation and sheltering of boats and cages by 5:00 p.m. on September 27.

According to the Quảng Ngãi Hydro-Meteorological Station, Typhoon No. 10 is forecast to directly affect Quảng Ngãi from September 28–29, 2025, with nearshore winds of level 8–9, gusting to level 11–12.
