QUẢNG NGÃI — Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang on January 8 chaired the provincial bridge point of a national online conference reviewing inspection work in 2025 and outlining tasks for 2026.

The conference was presided over by Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Hòa Bình and connected to inspection agencies nationwide.

In 2025, the Government Inspectorate and inspection bodies of ministries, sectors and localities closely followed the Government’s and the Prime Minister’s directions to carry out planned and unscheduled inspections.

Key areas included State management responsibilities, accountability of heads of agencies, and sectors prone to corruption, waste and misconduct, as well as issues of public concern and localities with large numbers of complaints.

Major and complex inspection themes were conducted, covering delayed projects, credit institutions, private corporate bond issuance, land and mineral management, social housing development, bidding violations in key transport and irrigation projects, environmental protection and climate change response.

Throughout the year, the inspection sector conducted 66,032 inspections and examinations at 79,894 units, detecting economic violations worth more than VNĐ256 trillion and over 1,414 hectares of land.

Authorities proposed the recovery of over VNĐ210 trillion and 1,027 hectares of land, imposed administrative fines of nearly VNĐ2.9 trillion, recommended disciplinary action against numerous organisations and individuals, and transferred 153 cases to investigation agencies.

Follow-up and enforcement of inspection conclusions were strengthened, with nearly 60 per cent of conclusions fully implemented, resulting in the recovery of VNĐ10.9 trillion and eight hectares of land.

Citizen reception and the handling of complaints and denunciations continued to be prioritised, particularly long-standing and complex cases related to land.

The resolution rate for denunciations under jurisdiction reached 85.9 per cent, contributing to political stability and social order.

Anti-corruption and anti-negative practices were implemented in line with the national strategy to 2030, alongside efforts to improve institutions and facilitate socio-economic development.

For 2026, the inspection sector will continue to effectively implement inspection laws and relevant resolutions, renew inspection planning and organisation, and promote the application of science and technology.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Hòa Bình commended the sector’s achievements in 2025 and urged continued reform, improved quality and effectiveness of inspection conclusions, strict handling of violations, and timely settlement of complaints at grassroots level, ensuring inspection activities support rather than hinder socio-economic development.
