On August 20, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Đức Tâm chaired a meeting with the Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Project Management Board to review public investment implementation and disbursement and set key tasks for the remaining months of 2026.

Scene of the meeting
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm acknowledged the Board’s efforts but noted that its disbursement rate remained low while little time remained until year-end. He requested the Board to mobilize all resources and implement comprehensive measures to achieve 100 per cent disbursement of the assigned capital plan by the end of 2026.
The Board was asked to review all ongoing projects, classify them by progress and feasibility, and develop detailed implementation plans with clear responsibilities. For projects targeted for completion in 2026, maximum resources must be mobilized, with construction organized in three shifts and four crews where necessary. Completed work with sufficient payment documentation must be settled promptly.
The PPC’s Chairman also called for close coordination with relevant agencies and localities to accelerate compensation and site clearance, while promptly addressing projects unlikely to meet disbursement targets and reallocating capital where necessary. Contractors failing to meet schedule and capacity requirements must be strictly handled.

Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm speaks at the meeting
The Board was tasked with improving its disbursement rate to above the national average by September 15, 2026, while preparing all necessary procedures for new projects in the 2026-2030 period to begin in early 2027.
In 2026, the Board was allocated more than VNĐ1.2673 trillion in public investment capital. As of August 7, cumulative disbursement stood at nearly VNĐ317 billion, or 25 per cent of the assigned plan.
