On August 3, Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Đức Tâm chaired a leadership meeting to review recent performance and discuss key priorities for governance and the implementation of urgent tasks through the end of 2026.

The meeting was attended by Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm, Trần Phước Hiền, Nguyễn Công Hoàng and Đỗ Tâm Hiển, along with leaders of the PPC’s Office.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm directed departments, agencies and localities to intensify efforts to achieve the province’s socio-economic development targets for the remaining months of the year. He requested a comprehensive review of key indicators and the formulation of specific solutions, with clear targets assigned to each agency and locality.
Regarding public investment disbursement, the Chairman noted that Quảng Ngãi’s disbursement rate remains below the national average and stressed that accelerating disbursement must be treated as a top priority.
Project investors were instructed to commit to disbursement schedules and take full responsibility for implementation results.
He also called for stronger efforts to remove bottlenecks related to site clearance, the supply of construction materials and administrative procedures, while directing that capital be reallocated from projects with slow disbursement and limited implementation capacity.
For boarding schools in border areas, the Chairman required the completion of four schools (phase I) by August 20, 2026 to ensure they are ready for the new academic year, and the completion of appraisal dossiers for five Phase II schools by August 10, 2026.
On delayed projects, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm instructed relevant agencies to develop detailed implementation plans for each project, clearly defining timelines and responsibilities while continuing to resolve issues related to land clearance, compensation pricing and administrative procedures.

Regarding the management of public assets following the administrative restructuring, all agencies were required to finalize plans for handling remaining assets and submit reports to the Provincial People’s Committee by August 10, 2026.
The Chairman also assigned the Department of Finance to promptly complete the allocation of capital for national target programs and propose the list of public investment projects in accordance with regulations.
The PPC’s Office was tasked with compiling overdue assignments and monitoring reminders issued to each agency and locality for timely reporting to the PPC for further direction.
