Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm delivers the concluding remarks at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm praised the efforts of departments, agencies and local authorities in implementing socio-economic development tasks.

He urged all sectors to continue effectively carrying out the Government's Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP on socio-economic development and the 2026 State budget plan.

The Chairman stressed that Quảng Ngãi must achieve average growth of around 9.4 per cent in the third and fourth quarters to meet its annual GRDP growth target of 9 per cent.

He called on the entire political system to accelerate public investment disbursement, resolve bottlenecks related to land clearance, compensation, resettlement, land pricing and construction materials, effectively implement national target programmes, and strengthen measures to increase budget revenue, particularly land-related revenue.

He also instructed provincial authorities to remove obstacles facing businesses and strategic investors, improve the investment and business climate, enhance the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), and promote the application of science, technology and innovation.

Key priorities for the remaining months of 2026

The Chairman requested local authorities to speed up the construction of schools in border areas to ensure facilities are ready for the 2026–27 academic year.

He also ordered agencies to strengthen disaster preparedness ahead of the rainy and storm season and continue efforts to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in support of Việt Nam's goal of having the European Commission's "yellow card" warning lifted.

Regarding administrative reform, the Department of Home Affairs was assigned to carefully study plans for the arrangement of commune-level administrative units to improve the efficiency of local government operations.

The Provincial People's Committee also reached broad agreement on a draft decision assigning growth targets and key tasks for the remaining months of 2026, as well as the detailed allocation of the 2026–2030 medium-term public investment plan funded by the central budget.

Relevant agencies were instructed to finalise the documents before submission to the competent authorities.
