QUẢNG NGÃI, The Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee on Friday, October 17 opened its plenary conference chaired by Hồ Văn Niên, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to review the province’s performance over the first nine months of 2025 and set out priorities for the remaining months of the year.

In his opening remarks, Secretary Niên emphasized that the conference would assess socio-economic results for the first nine months, define key tasks for the final quarter of 2025, review central directives, and discuss several matters within the Party Committee’s jurisdiction.

Over the past nine months, despite continued economic and social challenges, provincial agencies and units have maintained dual responsibilities — restructuring local government into a two-tier model while preparing for the Party congresses.

Through unity, political determination, and strong leadership from both provincial and grassroots levels, Quảng Ngãi has achieved significant results across key sectors.

The province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) grew 10.15 per cent year-on-year, ranking fifth among 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

Party building and political system reforms progressed effectively, with the province successfully organizing Party congresses at all levels and the 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term.

More than 2,900 officials and public employees retired under restructuring policies, and 1,168 new Party members were admitted.

Quảng Ngãi also completed its program to eliminate 9,071 substandard houses across the province. National defense and public security remained stable, and external relations continued to strengthen.

Secretary Niên acknowledged that while important achievements have been made, “some limitations and shortcomings still exist in leadership and management.”

He called on delegates to analyze the causes — particularly subjective ones — and propose effective solutions to address them in the final months of 2025.
