On October 12, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hồ Văn Niên led a delegation of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee to visit and work with the Party Committee of Vạn Tường commune.
Vạn Tường Commune was established by merging six former communes: Bình Hòa, Bình Phước, Bình Hải, Bình Đông, Bình Thuận, and Bình Trị. Since its formation, the Commune’s Party Committee and local authorities have demonstrated strong leadership and unity in effectively carrying out political and socio-economic tasks.
In the first nine months of 2025, the commune’s total production value exceeded VNĐ 5,949 billion, reaching 115.67 per cent of the annual plan, with state budget revenue estimated at VNĐ 456.6 billion.
Vạn Tường has also completed 100 per cent of its housing improvement targets, implemented 28 land clearance projects, and is carrying out nine investment projects.
Local leaders proposed that the province invest in upgrading schools, cultural sites, including the Vạn Tường Victory Historical Relic, and key infrastructure such as roads, embankments, and irrigation works.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Hồ Văn Niên commended the Party Committee’s proactive efforts and emphasized that Vạn Tường, located at the core of the Dung Quất Economic Zone, holds strategic importance for Quảng Ngãi’s industrial development.
He affirmed that with its large area, dense population, and favorable location, Vạn Tường is designated as a driving force for the province’s industrial growth. He urged the local political system, residents, and enterprises to work towards transforming Vạn Tường commune into a ward by 2030.
