QUẢNG NGÃI— October 17, 2025 — The Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee on Friday reviewed the province’s socio-economic performance over the first nine months of 2025, highlighting robust economic growth and steady social development despite ongoing challenges.
According to reports presented at the meeting, Quảng Ngãi’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) expanded by 10.15 per cent year-on-year, ranking first among the South Central Coast and Central Highlands provinces, and fifth nationwide.
Industrial production posted positive growth, with most key industrial products increasing compared to the same period last year.
Retail sales and service revenue rose 14.28 per cent, while state budget revenue was estimated at VNĐ 23.886 trillion, up 0.4 per cent from a year earlier, reaching 64.3 per cent of the annual target.
Socio-economic conditions in ethnic minority and mountainous areas remained stable, with social order and security ensured.
The province continued implementing ethnic and social support policies in a timely and effective manner, improving living standards in remote communities.
In the cultural and social sectors, Quảng Ngãi recorded 3.848 million tourist arrivals, up 17 per cent, with tourism revenue estimated at VNĐ 2.612 trillion, a 44 per cent increase, achieving 99 per cent of the year’s target.
Poverty reduction and social welfare programs were carried out comprehensively, with the province completing 100 per cent of its plan to eliminate substandard housing.
On governance, the Party building and political system reform efforts were implemented effectively.
The province successfully held Party congresses at all levels and the 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term.
Administrative restructuring at the commune and provincial levels was on track, with over 2,900 officials and public servants opting for early retirement under government policy.
The new administrative apparatus has begun operating efficiently and cohesively.
Mass organizations, including the Việt Nam Fatherland Front and socio-political unions, actively mobilized citizens to implement Party policies and state laws.
National defense, public security, and social order were maintained, creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development.
In his closing remarks, Hồ Văn Niên, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, commended local authorities, agencies, and grassroots units for their determination and effective leadership in executing assigned tasks.
He urged all levels of government to “enhance responsibility, strengthen on-site leadership, and promptly address emerging difficulties from the grassroots level.”
He also directed agencies to accelerate administrative reform, finalize local government restructuring, and ensure the smooth operation of the new two-tier model.
The province will continue preparing for the 2026–2031 elections of the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.
Looking ahead, Quảng Ngãi will focus on achieving its 2025 targets, particularly in economic growth, budget collection, public investment disbursement, and implementation of key infrastructure and national target programs.
The Secretary emphasized resolving bottlenecks in land management, compensation, and site clearance to create land reserves for infrastructure and attract more investment.
