Quảng Ngãi Province and Sekong Province (Laos) have signed a memorandum of cooperation on the search, collection, and repatriation of martyrs’ remains, reaffirming their shared commitment for the 2025–2026 dry season.
At the signing ceremony on October 20, Y Ngọc, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee, and Khẳn ti - Sỉ lạ vông sả, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Administration Committee, and Head of the Special Task Committee of Sekong Province, agreed to enhance coordination for better results in the upcoming season.
Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc emphasized that the long-standing cooperation between Việt Nam and Laos has yielded positive outcomes in previous search and repatriation efforts, helping heal the wounds of war while reinforcing the special friendship and solidarity between the two nations.
Despite challenges due to terrain and weather in the 2024–2025 dry season, the Sekong Special Task Committee’s close support for Team K53 (Quảng Ngãi) was highly appreciated. Quảng Ngãi looks forward to continued assistance and collaboration from Sekong authorities to ensure greater success in the upcoming season.
With the strong commitment of both sides, the joint mission during the 2025–2026 dry season is expected to achieve practical results, honoring the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and strengthening the enduring Việt Nam–Laos friendship.
