Concluding the conference, PM Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the demand for social housing nationwide is very high. He therefore requested the Ministry of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to review the regulations, procedures and create favorable conditions for social housing projects to be implemented as soon as possible.
The Ministry of Finance was assigned to urgently propose the establishment of a national fund for social housing.
Commercial banks and the Bank for Social Policies need to expand preferential credit packages to support individuals and households to borrow capital to purchase or lease-purchase houses, PM stressed.
