On November 20, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm had a working session with Hòa Phát Dung Quất Steel Joint Stock Company on its production and financial obligations.

Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm commended Hòa Phát Dung Quất for maintaining stable operations, ensuring project progress, and fully complying with financial obligations.
He requested the company to continue close coordination with provincial departments and localities to resolve obstacles, accelerate investment procedures, ensure project timelines, and strengthen environmental protection and workplace safety while contributing to the province’s socio-economic development.
The Hòa Phát Dung Quất 1 Integrated Steel Complex, with a capacity of 4 million tons per year, is operating stably, and the company is completing procedures to increase capacity to 6 million tons per year.
The Hòa Phát Dung Quất 2 Integrated Steel Complex is in trial operation for the first phase with a capacity of 2.8 million tons per year. Phase II is expected to begin trial operation by the end of quarter 2, 2025, bringing total HRC steel output to 5.6 million tons per year.
As of October 31, 2025, the company has fulfilled over VNĐ 572 billion in domestic taxes, including VNĐ 302 billion in corporate income tax, VNĐ 40 billion in personal income tax, and VNĐ 230 billion in other taxes. It is expected to contribute an additional VNĐ 250 billion by year-end.

The company proposed that the PPC address remaining issues related to land allocation for the Hòa Phát Dung Quất rail steel and special steel project, upgrade transport infrastructure in Dung Quất Economic Zone, and complete resettlement, cemetery, and fishing port facilities.
According to provincial agencies, Hòa Phát Dung Quất continues to be a major contributor to the provincial budget and will remain an important driver of industrial growth and socio-economic development in the coming years.
