In the 2023-2024 school year, the province's education and training work achieved many encouraging results.
The work of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training in the province has been maintained and developed.
To date, the whole province has had 420 schools that meet national standards.
The work of fostering excellent students has been focused on and other exams and competitions have achieved good results.
In the 2023-2024 school year, 49 Quang Ngai candidates won prizes in the national excellent student selection exam, an increase of 31 prizes compared to the 2022-2023 school year.
The organization of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year and the 2024 high school graduation exam was guaranteed, safe, serious and in accordance with regulations.
The rate of students passing the high school graduation exam in 2024 was 98.38%, an increase of 1.11% compared to 2023.
Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan highly appreciated the results achieved in the school year.
He requested the education sector and localities to prepare well the conditions to effectively implement the tasks of the new school year 2024-2025.
In particular, Tuan asked them to focus on some important tasks as follows:
- Synchronously deploy solutions to improve the sense of responsibility, leadership capacity, and management.
- Promote inspection, supervision and monitoring of exams and competitions to ensure fairness, objectivity and compliance with regulations.
- Promote the construction of national standard schools in all districts, towns and cities according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee.
- Focus on innovating teaching methods, testing and assessment methods towards developing students' capacity.
- Promptly overcome the disease of achievement in assessing and classifying students.
- Focus on educating personality, ethics, lifestyle, life skills, civic awareness, diversifying learning forms, ensuring school safety, school hygiene, friendly and healthy pedagogical environment.
- Strengthen propaganda, dissemination, raise awareness of parents and students about the meaning and importance of career education and student orientation in general education.
- Promote coordination between general education institutions and higher education institutions, vocational education and higher education.
- Effectively implement the Project to enhance the application of information technology and digital transformation in education and training, contributing to the development and thorough application of digital technology in management, teaching, learning, testing and evaluation to meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training.
- Improve the quality of human resources, and create comprehensive development in the province's education sector.
