Accordingly, universities in Quang Ngai and Dang Thuy Tram Medical college will receive 16 Laotian students, including 10 students from Champasak province, and 6 students from Attapeu and Sekong provinces. These students will study Vietnamese for 1 year, then they will enter the registered majors.
Human resource training for the Southern provinces of Laos is one of the main contents under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Quang Ngai province and Champasak province in the period of 2021 - 2025 and Decision No. 22/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee approving the cooperation plan between Quang Ngai province and Champasak province and some localities of Lao PDR in the 2021-2025 period.
As planned, Laotian international students who are selected in this 2024-2025 academic year will begin studying Vietnamese at Pham Van Dong University for one year before studying their registered majors. After completing procedures between the two sides, Laotian students will come to Quang Ngai province to enroll in December 2024.

Reportedly, in the period of 2021 - 2024, Quang Ngai province supported scholarships for 55 Laotian students to study at universities and colleges in the province.
