On April 25, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang worked with the Management Board of Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks on its operation in the first quarter of 2025.
Attending the meeting were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Trần Phước Hiền, leaders of functional departments and sectors of the province, and representatives of the People's Committees of districts and city.
In the first quarter of 2025, the Management Board issued a Decision approving investment policies and investment registration certificates for three projects, with a total registered capital of VNĐ 1,589 billion, and adjusted 13 projects, with a total additional capital of VNĐ 2,719 billion.
To date, Dung Quất Economic Zone and Quảng Ngãi Industrial Parks have 352 valid projects, with a total registered investment capital of US$18.63 billion, including 67 FDI projects with a total capital of about US$2.45 billion.

Currently, 262 projects (with 216 enterprises) have come into operation. The industrial production value is estimated at VNĐ 87,373 billion, up 50.5 per cent over the same period last year, reaching 33.6 per cent of the annual plan.
The trade and service value is estimated at VNĐ 1,968 billion, up 4.4 per cent, reaching 43.7 per cent of the annual plan.
Total state budget revenue is estimated at VNĐ 9,610 billion, up 10.3 per cent, reaching 37 per cent of the annual plan.

In the first quarter of 2025, the Management Board deployed and completed four planning projects of 1/2000 scale construction zoning, surveyed the An Phú Industrial - Urban - Service Complex, in Tư Nghĩa District.
The Management Board is coordinating with departments and sectors to complete the Project of the National Oil Refinery and Energy Center in Dung Quất Economic Zone under the direction of the Prime Minister.
In 2025, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Management Board to preside over and advise on three key tasks, including one task in the first quarter and 42 additional tasks. To date, the Management Board has completed 33 out of 42 tasks.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the Management Board in the first months of 2025.
Giang requested that in the coming time, the Management Board continue to promote its role, closely coordinate with departments, sectors, and localities to focus on compensation and site clearance, and complete the Zoning Planning projects.
The Management Board should support and remove difficulties and obstacles for the enterprises to operate effectively, while strengthening control of administrative procedures, promoting the application of information technology, and digital transformation, Giang stressed.
The PPC’s Chairman asked departments, sectors, and localities to closely coordinate and actively support the Management Board in implementing key tasks, especially in site clearance in Dung Quất Economic Zone, as well as creating consensus among the people, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of Dung Quất Economic Zone.
