On April 22, the Quang Ngai National Assembly (NA) Delegation, led by Đặng Ngọc Huy – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the NA Delegation – held a voter meeting in Bình Thạnh Commune, Bình Sơn District ahead of the 9th session of the 15th NA.
The event was also attended by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Trần Phước Hiền and leaders of relevant departments and local authorities.
At the meeting, the delegation briefed voters on the proposed agenda for the upcoming NA session, which will take place in two phases: May 5–28 and June 11–28.
Key issues include proposed amendments to the 2013 Constitution, the passage of 30 laws, review of 7 draft laws, and the reorganization of administrative units and local government structure.
Voters expressed strong support for the timely decisions made by central authorities, particularly regarding streamlining the political system for better efficiency and development.
Local concerns raised included delayed construction on cleared land, the need for investment in key road junctions and degraded infrastructure, and challenges related to land use rights, land splitting, and rezoning.
In response, Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền and other provincial and district leaders addressed many issues directly, especially those under local jurisdiction.
Deputy Secretary Đặng Ngọc Huy acknowledged the feedback and reiterated the province’s commitment to effective implementation of the ongoing administrative reforms.
He emphasized responsible management of public assets post-merger and called on local leaders to stay closely connected to grassroots needs and promptly address citizens’ concerns.
