On February 22, Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) organized the University - Locality - Business Connection Day, within the framework of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of VNU-HCM (January 27, 1995 - January 27, 2025).
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education and Training, along with leaders of 15 provinces and cities (HCM City, Tây Ninh, Bình Phước, Đồng Nai, Bình Dương, Ninh Thuận, Bình Thuận, Lâm Đồng, Bến Tre, Cà Mau, Hậu Giang, An Giang, Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu, Quảng Ngãi and Kiên Giang), and businesses.
At the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Deputy Director of VNU-HCM said that currently, VNU-HCM is cooperating with 31 localities and more than 200 businesses and corporations in many fields, from training, scientific research, technology transfer to scholarship support and policy consulting.
During the training process, VNU-HCM provided 20,000 high-quality human resources per year to Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region, contributing 53 per cent of IC design manpower in Ho Chi Minh City.

On this occasion, the Science, Technology and Innovation Products Exhibition Program was held for two days (22/02/2025 - 23/02/2025), introducing nearly 200 typical science and technology products in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence (AI), IC design, advanced materials, nanotechnology, biotechnology, biomedicine, agriculture, food, environment and energy and OCOP products with local characteristics.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien attended the Festival and awarded scholarships to students of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City worth 50 million VND.
