On December 26, Đỗ Tâm Hiển, Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee, held a working session with the Party Committee of Sa Huỳnh Ward and Khánh Cường Commune to review socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building, and political system consolidation in 2025, and to outline key tasks for 2026.
In 2025, Sa Huỳnh Ward recorded notable achievements across multiple sectors. The Party building and political system were strengthened, with the successful organization of the 1st Ward Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term and the admission of 28 new Party members, exceeding targets.
The local economy grew steadily; agricultural, forestry, and fisheries output met planned targets, with fisheries production exceeding 65,000 tons.
Public investment disbursement reached 100 per cent of the plan, budget revenues surpassed estimates, administrative reform and digital transformation were promoted, and urban management and environmental protection were enhanced.
Social welfare improved, the poverty rate fell to 2.38 per cent, over 1,500 jobs were created, and defense and security were maintained, with 100 per cent of military recruitment targets fulfilled.
Khánh Cường Commune fulfilled its 2025 tasks comprehensively. Economic growth remained stable, budget revenue and public investment disbursement met or exceeded targets, and key projects progressed as planned.
Social security was ensured, living standards improved, administrative reform and digital transformation advanced, and national defense and public order were maintained.
Party building and political system consolidation continued to provide a solid foundation for future development.
For 2026, both localities aim to promote sustainable socio-economic development, improve living standards, enhance the effectiveness of local governance, ensure national defense and security, fully disburse public investment capital, reduce poverty, and improve the quality of social and cultural services.
Concluding the working session, Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển requested local authorities to strengthen unity, enhance leadership and governance effectiveness, and focus on socio-economic development linked with environmental protection.
He emphasized strict enforcement against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing violations, and called for agricultural development aligned with approved planning and local advantages.
He also instructed the localities to develop early and specific plans in 2026 to address long-standing issues, overcome staffing challenges, prioritize social welfare and care for policy beneficiaries and vulnerable groups, ensure public security during the Lunar New Year, and strictly implement military recruitment regulations.
Local proposals were acknowledged and will be reported to the PPC’s Chairman for further consideration and resolution.
