According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province welcomed an estimated 5.2 million visitors in 2025. Of this total, international arrivals reached about 98,500, up 2.6 times year on year.
Tourism revenue was estimated at VNĐ 3.7 trillion, up 74 per cent, while foreign exchange earnings reached approximately US$ 22 million, 2.5 times higher than the previous year.
Several destinations continued to attract large numbers of visitors, including Măng Đen Ecotourism Area, community-based tourism villages in the western part of the province, and coastal and island destinations in the east such as Lý Sơn, Sa Huỳnh and Mỹ Khê. These locations offer diverse landscapes and rich cultural values, meeting growing demand for resort, experiential and exploratory tourism.
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phạm Thị Trung said the sharp increase in visitors was driven by the expansion of tourism space after the provincial reorganization, creating new attractions.
At the same time, investment attraction policies, improvements in tourism products, enhanced promotion and upgraded infrastructure have proven effective. Many destinations are gradually building their brands and strengthening their position on the regional tourism map.
Notably, local communities are increasingly playing a central role in tourism development by directly providing services and preserving cuisine, festivals and traditional crafts. This approach helps conserve cultural values while improving income and livelihoods for residents.
In the coming time, Quảng Ngãi will continue to implement comprehensive measures to develop tourism into a key economic sector. Priorities include completing planning and investing in infrastructure in key areas such as Lý Sơn, Sa Huỳnh, Mỹ Khê, Măng Đen and Ngọc Linh; developing distinctive tourism products; improving service quality; accelerating digital transformation and promotion on digital platforms; strengthening regional linkages; attracting strategic investors; and building a safe, civilized and friendly tourism environment.
