Covering more than 10 square kilometers, including Big Island and Small Island, Lý Sơn features unique volcanic landscapes and rich marine resources, forming a distinctive island tourism destination. In recent years, local tourism has recorded positive growth thanks to coordinated efforts by authorities, communities and businesses.
The workshop aimed to gather expert opinions on planning, investment, product development, human resources and digital transformation to support Lý Sơn’s development.
Deputy Minister Hoàng Đạo Cương noted that under the national tourism master planning for 2021–2030, with a vision to 2045, Lý Sơn has been identified as a potential national tourism area, creating new opportunities for infrastructure investment, product development and regional linkages.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism would continue to support Quảng Ngãi in realizing this goal.
