QUẢNG NGÃI — Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang on Monday afternoon (October 28) received a delegation from China’s Pacific Group, led by its founder Nghiêm Giới Hòa.
The meeting was also attended by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng and leaders of the Departments of Finance, Construction, and the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee.
Chairman Giang highly appreciated the group’s interest in exploring investment opportunities in Quảng Ngãi Province.
He briefed the delegation on the province’s economic scale, potential, and advantages, and introduced key sectors in which Quảng Ngãi is calling for investment.
Covering nearly 15,000 square kilometres, Quảng Ngãi ranks fifth nationwide in terms of area.
The province boasts a unique combination of coastal and island landscapes, Central Highlands mountains, and diverse cultural heritage — offering vast development space and opportunities for deeper economic cooperation both domestically and internationally.
Quảng Ngãi’s economy ranks 20th among 34 provinces and centrally-run cities in Việt Nam. It is located along the East–West Economic Corridor and shares borders with Laos and Cambodia.
Major enterprises have successfully invested in the province, including the Hòa Phát Dung Quất Iron and Steel Complex, Dung Quất Oil Refinery, and the VSIP Quảng Ngãi and VSIP II industrial parks.
He affirmed that Quảng Ngãi remains steadfast in its investment approach, valuing time, intellect, and decisiveness in project implementation while ensuring mutual benefits towards shared prosperity and sustainable development.
Nghiêm Giới Hòa thanked provincial leaders for their warm welcome and support in helping the group explore cooperation and investment opportunities.
Headquartered in Hà Nội, the Pacific Group is currently implementing projects in the transport infrastructure sector and has invested in several localities, including Gia Lai, Hải Phòng, and Hà Nội.
He expressed interest in potential investment in transport infrastructure development and new construction materials production.
He noted that the group plans to cooperate with partners to implement a high-speed railway project along the North–South axis, including a section running through Quảng Ngãi Province.
The Pacific Group committed to ensuring the project’s progress, quality, and reasonable costs.
