In the first 8 months of 2025, Quảng Ngãi province received 23 programs, projects from foreign Non-Government Organizations with the total committed value of US$ 1,595,696, equivalent to VNĐ 39,8 billion.
In addition, beneficiary localities have been implementing components of projects funded by World Vision International in Viêt Nam, including the Regional program in Ba Vì, Ba Tô, Ba Dinh, Ba Tơ, Ba Vinh, Ba Động, Ba Xa, Đặng Thùy Trâm communes; Sơn Hạ, Sơn Linh, Sơn Hà, Sơn Thủy, Sơn Kỳ communes; and Đông Trà Bồng, Tây Trà, Cà Đam, Thanh Bồng, Tây Trà Bồng communes in the period of 2024 - 2027 with total aid of US$ 5,100,400; and Additional cooperation agreement to implement the Regional Program in Minh Long and Sơn Mai communes, period 2023-2027, with a total aid amount of US$1,958,780.
The Department of Foreign Affairs also advised the Provincial People's Committee on extending, supplementing and converting the operating licenses of foreign Non-Government Organizations such as OneSky, Peace Trees Vietnam, Giving It Back to Kids, Catholic Relief Services, Passerelles Numeriques, Centre for Tropical Medicine - Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, MSI Reproductive Choices, Program for Appropriate Technology in Health, HelpAge International, Fauna & Flora International, Smile Train, Inc., Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped.
In addition, since the merger of Kon Tum and Quảng Ngãi provinces into Quảng Ngãi province, the Department of Foreign Affairs has been actively advising and calling for aid and widening activity areas from foreign Non-Government Organizations for mountainous and coastal communes of Quảng Ngãi province.
The programs and projects of foreign Non-Government Organizations mainly focus on supporting people with disabilities, disaster relief, poverty reduction, healthcare, education and socio-economic development and donating scholarships, targeting vulnerable groups and the poor, in line with the priorities and orientations for socio-economic development of the province.
