
QUẢNG NGÃI — The Quảng Ngãi Provincial Tax Department on the afternoon of January 5 held a conference to review its performance in 2025 and roll out tasks for 2026.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Đỗ Tâm Hiển attended and delivered a keynote address.
In 2025, the provincial tax sector implemented comprehensive measures to manage State budget revenues, closely controlling revenue sources and strengthening efforts against revenue loss.
Administrative reform and digital transformation were stepped up to facilitate taxpayers, while communication, dialogue and support for individuals and businesses were enhanced.
Debt management and tax arrears recovery were also prioritised, contributing to a fair and sustainable business environment.
As a result, domestic revenue in 2025 reached VNĐ22.34 trillion, fulfilling 100.1 per cent of the target assigned by the central Government and rising 4.3 per cent year-on-year.
For 2026, the tax sector aims to surpass the State budget revenue target of VNĐ22.824 trillion.
Key tasks include accelerating comprehensive digital transformation, expanding IT applications and studying the use of artificial intelligence in tax administration, while strengthening tax management for e-commerce and individual businesses.

Addressing the conference, Vice Chairman Hiển praised the sector’s efforts and stressed that 2026, the first year of the 2026–2030 socio-economic development plan, is crucial for creating momentum for fast and sustainable growth.
He called for stronger revenue management, improved taxpayer compliance, deeper administrative reform and digitalisation, and continued efforts to build a professional, disciplined and ethical tax workforce.
At the event, the Quảng Ngãi provincial Tax Department awarded certificates of merit to 12 collectives and 80 individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing the 60-day peak plan.
