QUẢNG NGÃI — Provincial leaders on January 7 chaired a conference to study and implement major resolutions, directives and conclusions issued by the Party Central Committee.

The event was presided over by Politburo member and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hồ Văn Niên, together with deputy secretaries U Huấn, Nguyễn Đức Tuy, Nguyễn Hoàng Giang and Đinh Thị Hồng Minh.

More than 11,000 delegates attended the conference in person at the Provincial Party Committee hall and online at 125 sites across agencies and localities.

At the conference, U Huấn, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, briefed participants on the outcomes of the 15ᵗʰ Central Committee meeting.

He highlighted key issues and new strategic decisions discussed and adopted by the Central Committee.

Reports focused on several important Party documents, including Resolution No. 74-NQ/TW adopted at the 14ᵗʰ meeting of the 13ᵗʰ Party Central Committee; Directive No. 53-CT/TW issued by the Politburo on strengthening Party leadership in accountability in public duties; and Conclusion No. 205-KL/TW on breakthrough solutions in the recruitment, placement, use and treatment of cadres.

In his closing remarks, Secretary Hồ Văn Niên urged Party committees, organisations and authorities at all levels to seriously and effectively disseminate and implement the Central Committee’s documents, avoiding formalism.

He also called for stronger communication on the 14ᵗʰ National Party Congress, the implementation of the two-level local government model, and the province’s political task performance, while ensuring good preparations for the Lunar New Year.

The Provincial Party chief stressed the need to accelerate the Quang Trung Campaign to support housing repairs and construction for people affected by natural disasters, aiming to complete the work before January 15, 2026, so all households can celebrate a safe and happy Tết.

He further requested close market management, price stabilisation, food safety control, disease prevention, environmental sanitation and the organisation of cultural and festive activities in a civilised and economical manner.

National defence, security, traffic safety, fire prevention and cyber security must be ensured, with strict action against smuggling, trade fraud, illegal fireworks and other violations, he said.
