At its first Provincial Party Congress this morning, the Provincial Party Committee approved the political report for the 2020–2025 term, presented by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Đức Tuy.
Significant achievements in 2020–2025
The report highlighted major achievements in Party building and governance.
Quảng Ngãi’s economy continued to grow, with GRDP reaching over VNĐ 92.8 trillion, an average annual growth of 7.3 per cent.
By 2025, the economy is expected to exceed VNĐ 188.7 trillion, with per capita income at nearly VNĐ 55 million.
Key industrial projects include the expansion of Dung Quất Oil Refinery, Hòa Phát Dung Quất 2 Steel Complex, and several Dung Quất gas-fired power plants.
Agriculture and forestry advanced toward sustainable, organic models, raising forest coverage to 59.45 per cent.
Social sectors also improved: education quality rose; healthcare coverage surpassed 95 per cent; poverty reduction achieved clear results; and tourism reached 4.9 million visitors with revenues of VNĐ 2.64 trillion in 2025.
National defense, security, and foreign relations remained strong.
Vision for 2025–2030
Quảng Ngãi aims to strengthen Party building under the motto “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Breakthrough – Development.”
The province will focus on innovation, digital transformation, science and technology, human resource development, climate adaptation, and environmental protection, while ensuring defense, security, and better living standards for its people.
By 2030, Quảng Ngãi strives to become a well-developed province and an important growth engine of the Central and Central Highlands region.
