Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Trần Phước Hiền, on May 8, chaired a meeting to review the implementation progress and final settlement of the Resettlement Subproject under the Nuoc Trong Reservoir Project.
At the meeting, a representative from the Provincial Transportation Construction Investment Project Management Board reported on the subproject’s implementation results, as well as the existing issues and difficulties that have yet been resolved.
The subproject has received final settlement approval in five phases from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, with total disbursed capital exceeding VND 573 billion.
However, several problems remain, especially those related to land compensation which localities have not yet fully resolved. As a result, the complete project settlement has not been finalized.
Representatives from provincial departments and local authorities discussed and contributed feedback regarding the final settlement documents.
They also proposed solutions to outstanding issues involving compensation, support, resettlement, land allocation, encroachment, and issuance of land use right certificates for households and individuals.
In his concluding remarks, Provincial People’s Committee’s vice chairman Trần Phước Hiền acknowledged the efforts and sense of responsibility shown by localities during project implementation, particularly in addressing public complaints and petitions.
He emphasized the need for the Project Management Board, relevant departments, and local authorities to continue working closely together to resolve all remaining issues, enabling the prompt completion of the Resettlement Subproject under the Nuoc Trong reservoir project.
