On March 22, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son Tinh District solemnly celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation Day of Son Tinh District (March 25, 1975 - March 25, 2025).
The ceremony was attended by Bui Thi Quynh Van, a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Hoang Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Thi Hong Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Phuoc Hien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders from Military Region 5; and provincial and district leaders from various periods.
Also present were Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and leaders of departments and localities.

During the ceremony, Pham Xuan Vinh, the Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Tinh District, delivered a speech reflecting on the heroic history, as well as the ongoing development of Son Tinh District over the past 50 years.
Since its liberation, Son Tinh District has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving into a vibrant urban area committed to development.
The average annual economic growth rate from 2021 to 2024 is projected to be 11.5 per cent.
By the end of 2024, the district's economic structure is expected to shift positively, with the average income per capita reaching 53 million VND per person per year.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized that Son Tinh is strategically important for the struggle, construction, protection of the Fatherland, and socio-economic development of the province.
He acknowledged that the people of Son Tinh District have shown unwavering support for the Party throughout the national liberation struggle and during the two resistance wars against colonialism and imperialism, overcoming numerous challenges and making significant sacrifices.
Nguyen Hoang Giang praised the efforts and achievements of the Party Committee, government, army, and people of Son Tinh District over the past 50 years, which have made vital contributions to the achievements of the province and the country.
He urged the Party Committee, government, army, and citizens of Son Tinh District to increase investments in building and progressively completing infrastructure, with a focus on traffic infrastructure and the establishment of key transportation routes that facilitate connectivity and create new development areas.
He called for a comprehensive, effective, substantive, and sustainable digital transformation across all sectors, alongside administrative reform to enhance competitiveness and better serve the people and businesses.
On the occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Bui Thi Quynh Van and Provincial People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Hoang Giang presented Certificates of Merit and flowers to recognize the contributions of collectives for their outstanding achievements.
