The delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quảng Ngãi province led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Võ Phiên, on May 9, visited and congratulated the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ngai province on the occasion of the 2025 Buddha's Birthday.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Võ Phiên expressed his best wishes to the monks, nuns, Buddhists, dignitaries, and officials for a happy and peaceful Buddha's birthday.
The PPC’s Vice Chairman briefly informed about the province's socio-economic situation in recent times, and emphasized that 2025 is an important year, with major events.
Phiên acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the provincial Buddhism in the cause of national construction and defense, and socio-economic development of the province. He hoped that in the coming time, the Executive Committee of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha would continue to build the great national unity bloc, religious unity, and carry out patriotic emulation movements, volunteer activities, contributing to the province’s development.
Expressing his happiness to receive the provincial delegation on the occasion of the Vesak Day, Venerable Thích Thông Hội, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quảng Ngãi Province, extended his gratitude to the provincial leaders for their care and attention.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Buddhist community to preserving and promoting the noble traditions of Vietnamese Buddhism.
