In 2025, businesses in Quang Ngai province plan to recruit more than 18,200 workers to meet production and business needs.
On February 15, thousands of people attended the 2025 Spring Job Fair in Quang Ngai City to find jobs.
The Job Fair also provides information about high-income overseas labor markets such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan.
According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, in 2024, the province created new jobs for more than 10,300 workers. More than 1,200 workers had worked abroad under contracts, an increase of 18.5 per cent over the same period in 2023.
It is forecasted that in 2025, the labor recruitment demand of enterprises in the province will be more than 18,200 workers, 4,000 workers higher than in 2024.
Speaking at the Fair, Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan urged sectors, units, localities, and enterprises to focus on improving the business environment and enhancing the competitiveness of Quang Ngai province.
In addition, they need to improve the quality of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts, maintaining existing markets, and expanding high-income markets.
Also, it is important to timely implement unemployment insurance policies to support unemployed workers, and promptly introduce workers to find new jobs.
Moreover, they are requested to promote training and improvement of qualifications and vocational skills for workers.
