After nearly four months of launching a program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, Quang Ngai province has repaired and built more than 1,300 new houses, helping people with housing difficulties to have a stable housing.
On March 25, the Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses Program in Quang Ngai Province said that after nearly four months of launching the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the whole province has had more than 1,300 cases of housing difficulties being supported for repairs and new construction.
Accordingly, the whole province has built and repaired 1,320 houses, completed and handed over to households for use.
Ba To district is the first locality in the province to complete the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses with 553 houses repaired and newly built. Currently, more than 1,000 other houses are under construction, reaching over 80 per cent.
It is known that Quang Ngai still has over 6,600 households in need of support with the total implementation cost of nearly 330 billion VND.
Quang Ngai province aims to remove all temporary or dilapidated houses by September 30, 2025.
