Vạn Tường village, Bình Hải commune, Bình Sơn district, is currently home to many of the most outstanding laterite architectures in Quảng Ngãi province, including many works of about 100 years old.
The family of Nguyễn Ngọc Thanh (61 years old) in Vạn Tường village, Bình Hải commune, Bình Sơn district, still keeps intact the laterite house of nearly 200 m2.
The house was built over 100 years ago, with about 50 square meters wide. Through many ups and downs, this house is still solid and sturdy with time.
Each laterite is 40 - 80 cm long and 17 - 20 cm thick. Laterite has three layers. The top layer is called the base stone, followed by the body stone and the base stone layer.
