QUẢNG NGÃI — The People’s Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province on October 14 held a meeting chaired by Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền to review and give opinions on a draft decision on regulations for the development and management of markets in the province.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the draft aims to ensure consistency and synchronization in State management of markets to meet current requirements for building and expanding the market network, and improve the operational efficiency of local markets.
It also seeks to concretize the responsibilities of the Provincial People’s Committee in market management as stipulated in Clause 8, Article 38 of Decree No. 60/2024/NĐ-CP dated June 5, 2024, issued by the Government.
The draft regulation covers detailed provisions on various aspects of market development and management, including: decentralization of State management over markets; issuance of a standard internal regulation for market operations; management of business locations within markets; responsibilities of local authorities in eliminating spontaneous trading points; procedures for converting market management and business models; and responsibilities of relevant agencies in State management of markets.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền requested the Department of Industry and Trade to incorporate all feedback from departments, agencies, and localities, and finalize the draft decision for submission to the Provincial People’s Committee before October 30, 2025.
