The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Border Guard Command, Military Region 5, Border Guard Commands of Gia Lai, Đắk Lắk, Khánh Hòa and Đà Nẵng, as well as provincial departments, agencies and leaders of border and western communes and wards.
At the ceremony, delegates heard a report on the successful establishment and implementation of Special Case QNg 226. The operation demonstrated the courage and close coordination of Quảng Ngãi border guards in detecting and arresting suspects involved in the illegal purchase and transportation of large quantities of explosives in the coastal border area.
The successful operation helped prevent potential threats, maintain public safety and safeguard national sovereignty and security in the sea and island border areas.
In recognition of this outstanding achievement, on August 19, 2026, the State President issued Decision No. 1355/QĐ-CTN awarding the Third-Class Feat of Arms Medal to the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Border Guard force and two individuals.
Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc commended the Border Guard force and congratulated its officers and soldiers on their outstanding achievements. She emphasized that the award is not only a source of pride but also a strong motivation for officers and soldiers to continue striving for further achievements.

Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc speaks at the event
She requested the Provincial Border Guard force to focus on four key tasks: proactively monitoring the situation and improving forecasting and response capacity; implementing comprehensive border protection measures and strengthening coordination in combating crime and illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, while promoting border diplomacy; strengthening the all-people border defense posture and contributing to local socio-economic development, poverty reduction and social welfare; and building a strong Party organization and a comprehensively strong unit, with personnel who are politically steadfast, disciplined, professionally competent and devoted to the people.
She also called on provincial departments, agencies, armed forces and local authorities to maintain close coordination, support and facilitate the Provincial Border Guard force in fulfilling its assigned tasks.
