On the morning of April 21, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, conducted a site inspection of two major infrastructure projects: the Thạch Bích Bridge–Tịnh Phong Road and the Trà Khúc River downstream dam.
Accompanying him were Ngô Văn Trọng, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee and Secretary of Quang Ngai City Party Committee, along with representatives from relevant departments and localities.
The Thạch Bích Bridge–Tịnh Phong Road project spans 6.11 km with a total investment of over VND 694 billion, scheduled for completion between 2019 and 2025.
As of now, 58.4 per cent of the required land has been handed over.
Chairman Giang emphasized the project's strategic importance in easing traffic on National Highway 1 and promoting regional connectivity and socio-economic growth.
He urged authorities to resolve land clearance issues promptly, with deadlines set for May and June 2025.
The Trà Khúc River downstream dam project, with a total investment of VND 1,498 billion, has achieved 88.4 per cent of its contract value.
Although most construction has been completed on the cleared land, site clearance remains a key obstacle.
Chairman Giang directed relevant agencies to expedite compensation procedures while ensuring fairness and compliance with regulations.
