QUẢNG NGÃI — On October 16, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), in coordination with the Quảng Ngãi Department of Foreign Affairs, organized a training workshop on diplomacy and foreign affairs management for local officials from provinces in the North Central and South Central Coastal regions.
The workshop gathered around 100 local foreign affairs officials and civil servants. Participants were updated on key topics delivered by experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The sessions covered issues such as global and regional developments and Việt Nam’s foreign policy implementation, local-level diplomatic activities, and protocol management in foreign affairs.
Other key discussions included an overview of the Politburo’s guidance on Mekong subregion cooperation, strategies to address non-traditional security challenges in the subregion, and the role of localities in ensuring water security.
Participants also explored solutions to enhance cross-border connectivity among Cambodia, Laos, and Việt Nam, and ways to leverage Industry 4.0 technologies to boost transboundary trade cooperation.
The training aimed to equip local foreign affairs personnel with updated knowledge and professional skills to apply effectively in their respective areas.
It also provided a platform for experience sharing and networking among provincial officials, thereby fostering closer coordination in implementing the foreign policy directions of the Party, the State, and local authorities in the coming period.
