On October 2, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyễn Việt Hùng led a working delegation to Quảng Ngãi to review progress and address challenges in developing social housing.
He was received by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm and leaders of relevant departments.
Reportedly, Quảng Ngãi has planned 19 sites for social housing, totaling 271.79 ha. To date, 144 houses have been put into use, while new projects, including those in Hoàng Thành Resident Area and Phú Mỹ Urban Area, are underway.
Major investors such as the Việt Nam General Confederation of Labor and HUD are preparing large-scale development projects, with groundbreaking expected from late 2025.
At the meeting, provincial leaders requested support from the Ministry of Construction in removing legal obstacles and revising housing regulations to mobilize resources more effectively.

Deputy Minister Nguyễn Việt Hùng emphasized that social housing is a key social welfare program and urged Quảng Ngãi to focus on planning, land allocation, and timely implementation.

He affirmed that the Ministry of Construction will closely coordinate with the province to resolve difficulties and ensure project completion.
