On October 24, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Đỗ Tâm Hiển chaired a meeting with the Provincial Land Development Center to review its recent performance and outline tasks for the remainder of 2025.
According to the Center, it is currently carrying out compensation and site clearance for 346 projects across the province, focusing on key and high-impact projects such as the Quảng Ngãi–Hoài Nhơn component project, Hoàng Sa–Dốc Sỏi Road, and the Dung Quất–Sa Huỳnh coastal road (phases 2a and 2b), ensuring progress as directed by the PPC.
According to Decision No. 240 dated April 18, 2025, revenue from land-use rights auctions this year is expected to exceed VNĐ 2,687 billion, with more than VNĐ 1,087 billion planned for collection in 2025 and the remainder in 2026.
Public services, including waste collection and transport, public lighting, and tree care have been maintained smoothly; initial supervision efforts have helped improve service quality across the province.
The Center has also been assigned to manage 70 public assets; however, handover from district-level authorities remains incomplete, causing difficulty in formalizing records.
The Center requested support from the Provincial People’s Committee and relevant agencies to resolve finance, compensation, site clearance, and public service obstacles to ensure effective task completion.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển acknowledged the Center’s effort; however, he emphasized the need to promptly address existing shortcomings. He stressed that compensation, site clearance, and resettlement are critical tasks requiring specific, practical solutions and close coordination with departments, localities, and investors, especially for key projects.
