He emphasized the vision of turning Măng Đen into a national center for nature-based wellness and resort tourism by 2030.
Located at 1,200 meters above sea level with an average temperature of 18–22°C, Măng Đen is blessed with pristine forests covering over 75 per cent of its area, along with waterfalls, lakes, and diverse ecosystems. The commune is also home to rich cultural traditions of ethnic minorities, creating a unique blend of natural and cultural assets for tourism development.
In recent years, Măng Đen has recorded rapid progress in infrastructure, digital transformation, and community-based tourism, welcoming more than 1.2 million visitors in 2024, with projections of 1.5 million in 2025.

Looking ahead, Quảng Ngãi province identifies Măng Đen as a key growth pole in the western region, driving socio-economic development through tourism while connecting the “forest–sea–culture” axis. Development orientations include ecological zoning, sustainable forest management, green and smart infrastructure investment, and diversification of eco-friendly tourism products.
The province also emphasizes innovation, digital transformation, and building the tourism brand “Măng Đen – Việt Nam’s Nature Resort.”
By 2030, Măng Đen aims to meet the standards of a national tourism area, becoming not only a flagship eco-tourism destination of the Central Highlands but also a premier nature-based resort hub of Việt Nam. This ambition reflects the determination of Quảng Ngãi province to unlock local potential, foster sustainable growth, and enhance the quality of life for its people.
