On August 18, Ba Tơ Commune held the “All People Protect National Security” Festival to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, Vietnam’s National Day, the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Force, and the 20th anniversary of the festival itself.
The event was attended by leaders of the province, including Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Trần Phước Hiền, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission Trương Thị Linh, and Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Colonel Võ Văn Dương.
At the festival, local police reviewed the tradition of the public security force and highlighted achievements of grassroots security groups in building strong community-based security.
Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền stressed that the festival reflects the unity and strength of the people in safeguarding national security and social order.
He called on local authorities and organizations to further raise awareness, expand effective security models, and strengthen coordination between the people and security forces.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and the Provincial Police Director for their outstanding contributions to the movement.
Earlier the same day, provincial leaders and delegates offered incense and flowers at the Ba Tơ Uprising Monument, paying tribute to heroes, martyrs, and former guerrilla fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence.
