On January 13, the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee convened a national online conference to put forward initiatives aimed at fostering breakthrough development in science - technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Attending the conference at the Quang Ngai bridge point were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Thi Quynh Van, members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, heads and deputy heads of departments, agencies, unions and organizations, representatives of leaders of a number of enterprises and corporations located in the province.

The conference evaluated the implementation of the resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on science and technology development.
The conference also deployed Resolution No. 57 dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthrough development in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
The overarching goal of the Resolution is to create a transformative shift in awareness and execution, contributing to the development of a prosperous and strong nation.
Resolution No. 57 emphasizes that the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation is a key factor in the development of nations. It is also a prerequisite and the best opportunity for Vietnam to grow into a prosperous and powerful nation in the new era.
According to the resolution, by 2030, Vietnam aims to achieve advanced levels in many key fields of science-technology, and innovation, join the leading group of upper-middle-income countries in these areas, and attain above-average global standards in technological and innovative capabilities for businesses.
Delivering a speech at the conference, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the importance of disseminating science and technology, considering it a driving force for building and developing the country.
He stressed that Party and State always consider science and technology the decisive factor and foundation for the sustainable development of the country.

General Secretary To Lam proposed and emphasized eight tasks and solutions, especially breakthrough tasks such as identifying the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as strategic tasks of the entire Party, people and army.
Besides, it is necessary to urgently improve institutions and policies, urgently reorganize the science and technology apparatus, and prioritize budget allocation for science and technology. .
General Secretary called on the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to unite, be creative, successfully carry out the tasks, quickly put Resolution 57 into practice, and build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, as wished by President Ho Chi Minh.
