On the afternoon of July 14, in the framework of the second session of the 13th Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Council (2021–2026), the Council discussed the socio-economic situation in the first half of 2025, as well as key tasks and solutions for the remaining months of the year.

The session was chaired by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Đức Tuy and Vice Chairpersons Nguyễn Cao Phúc, Nguyễn Thế Hải, Nghe Minh Hồng.
Attending the session were Central Party Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, members of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairpersons of the Provincial People’s Committee, and representatives of departments and localities.
At the session, most delegates agreed with the report of the Provincial People's Committee while highlighting difficulties and shortcomings. They also proposed solutions to address limitations and ensure the effective implementation of development goals for 2025.
Key discussion topics included local government restructuring, personnel organization, and improvement of public service centers to serve citizens better.
Delegates also discussed land clearance and compensation policies, progress in public investment projects, African swine fever prevention, hospital overcrowding, and several socio-economic targets for the second half of the year.

He stressed the importance of maintaining uninterrupted public service delivery and called for investment, particularly in IT infrastructure, for grassroots-level public administration centers.
Bình also urged the province to review and unify compensation policies for site clearance to facilitate upcoming investment projects.

He also emphasized better oversight of social welfare policies and more effective implementation of national target programs, especially in rural and ethnic minority areas, with new rural development criteria aligned with local realities.
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tuy acknowledged all contributions from delegates and department leaders. He affirmed that their feedback would be consolidated into the draft resolution to be adopted by the Council, ensuring feasibility and relevance.

During the session, the Provincial People’s Council also approved several resolutions, including: Principles, criteria, and budget allocation norms for 2025; revenue-sharing and expenditure responsibilities between local budget levels; local budget estimates and allocations for 2025; adjustments to the 2021–2025 medium-term public investment plan; and adjustments to the 2025 public investment plan.
The Provincial People’s Council also passed the Zoning plan for Châu Ổ urban center and surrounding areas (scale 1/2000) and expenditure regulations for People’s Councils at all levels in Quảng Ngãi province.
