PPC’s Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang works with Provincial Land Fund Development Center

On July 11, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, chaired a working session with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center and relevant departments and localities. Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền also attended the meeting.

After the merger of local Land Fund Development Boards and Centers, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center now has 311 staff members. The Center is currently managing and implementing 80 land clearance and compensation projects.

The Center is working closely with relevant departments and localities to accelerate land compensation and clearance for key projects, including the Eastern North–South Expressway through Quảng Ngãi, the Dung Quất – Sa Huỳnh coastal road, the Hoàng Sa – Dốc Sỏi road, and the provincial stadium upgrading.

Additionally, the Center is implementing 155 land clearance projects handed over by district-level and municipal authorities.

Regarding land use rights auctions, in the first half of the year, VNĐ 104 billion was collected. Auctions for 14 land plots worth VNĐ 185.6 billion are scheduled for the third quarter of 2025, and eight plots worth VNĐ 960 billion are planned for the fourth quarter of 2025. 

The Center is also managing 29 public properties assigned by the Provincial People's Committee.

Concluding the working session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, commended the proactive efforts of the Land Fund Development Center, departments, and localities in addressing difficulties and accelerating site clearance progress for key projects.

Giang assigned the Department of Home Affairs, in coordination with the Department of Finance, to advise the PPC on the Center’s administrative and financial proposals, including the appointment of an additional Deputy Director, the establishment of a second center in the western region of the province, renovation of office facilities, and provision of vehicles.

The Department of Construction was tasked with promptly finalizing the plan for handling surplus public properties after the merger.

The PPC’s Chairman requested departments and agencies to strengthen support for localities in land compensation and clearance.

He also urged heads of commune and ward-level People’s Committees to proactively coordinate with relevant departments in advancing site clearance for projects within their areas.
