Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a working session with Ngọk Tụ, Đăk Tô and Kon Đào communes to review socio-economic development and national defence–security performance in the first 10 months of 2025, and to provide guidance for the tasks ahead.

At the meeting, representatives of the communes reported positive results across agriculture, industry–trade–services, budget revenue and expenditure, social affairs and security–defence.

Over the first 10 months of the year, agricultural production remained stable, with continued expansion of key crops such as rubber, coffee, macadamia and fruit trees. Livestock production improved in both scale and volume, and fishery output remained generally steady.

Forest plantation, protection and fire prevention were effectively implemented. The OCOP programme recorded several certified products, helping drive rural economic development.

Industry, commerce and services continued to grow, contributing to job creation and improving incomes.

Budget revenue and expenditure were implemented in line with regulations, with priority given to development investment, social welfare, education, healthcare and defence–security.

Public investment disbursement was actively promoted: as of November 2025, Ngọk Tụ achieved over 74 per cent disbursement, Đăk Tô nearly 70 per cent and Kon Đào over 57 per cent.

In social and cultural fields, the communes focused on improving education quality, healthcare services and the implementation of social welfare policies.

Cultural, artistic and sports activities were vibrant, while the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing recorded positive outcomes.

National defence and security remained stable, social order and safety were ensured, and citizen reception and complaint handling became increasingly systematic.

Alongside these results, localities highlighted difficulties in carrying out tasks and proposed various recommendations to address bottlenecks and promote development.

They requested the province to promptly repair degraded traffic works; allocate and disburse public investment capital and National Target Programme funds; and support infrastructure development for industrial clusters, schools and irrigation works.

Additional proposals included adjusting certain mechanisms, norms and unit prices; reducing repayment levels for production-support projects; facilitating investment; resolving issues related to the Hồ Chí Minh Road project; and reviewing policy and planning issues to ease implementation.

Concluding the session, Deputy Secretary and Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang praised the communes for their efforts in socio-economic development, maintaining national defence and security, and improving the effectiveness of the two-tier local government model.

The achievements reflect the initiative and strong sense of responsibility shown by commune-level officials, despite heavy workloads and new demands.

He urged the communes to take decisive action and accelerate implementation of socio-economic tasks in the remaining months of 2025 to achieve their growth targets.

He called for continued development of key agricultural products, promotion of potential OCOP items, and support for cooperative economic models and production-linkage chains.

He also emphasised strengthening tourism promotion—particularly historical-cultural and eco-tourism strengths.

Provincial departments, agencies and sectors were assigned to urgently review and resolve outstanding issues and local recommendations within their mandates to ensure the continued effective and uninterrupted operation of the two-tier local government model.

They were also directed to enhance support and guidance for authorities during task implementation.
