Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển inspects flooding response in Nghĩa Hành Commune and Trương Quang Trọng Ward

On the morning of October 29, Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Đỗ Tâm Hiển led a working delegation to inspect heavy rainfall, flooding, and local response measures in Nghĩa Hành Commune and Trương Quang Trọng Ward.

In Nghĩa Hành, 11 out of 15 villages were partially inundated, affecting over 400 households. Although no casualties were reported, many areas were isolated, causing difficulties for residents. Local authorities proactively evacuated people from low-lying areas and provided timely support to affected households.

Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển requested all departments and localities to remain vigilant, closely monitor weather developments, and give top priority to protecting people’s lives and property.

He also directed strengthened communication to raise public awareness and the readiness of on-site response forces, ensuring rapid action when incidents occur.

At Ân Phú Village in Trương Quang Trọng Ward, where flooding caused complete isolation for more than 100 households, the Vice Chairman urged local authorities to promptly deliver food, drinking water, and essential supplies, while ensuring no residents attempt to cross flooded areas.

He also inspected the Trà Khúc River downstream weir construction site, requiring the investor and contractors to actively monitor weather conditions, take preventive measures, and suspend operations during unsafe conditions to ensure worker and equipment safety.
