PPC’s Vice Đỗ Tâm Hiển inspects landslide situation on National Highway 24 and Măng Đen Tourism Area

On November 24, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Đỗ Tâm Hiển conducted an on-site inspection of landslide-affected areas in Măng Đen and Kon Plông communes.

In Măng Đen commune, the Vice Chairman surveyed two severe landslide points on National Highway 24, at Km99+300 and Km112+200, where soil and rocks had blocked sections of the road. Functional forces are clearing debris, opening temporary routes, and installing warning signs for travelers. The landslide at Km112+200 poses further risks, threatening the local power line.

The Vice Chairman requested the electricity sector to reinforce foundations, protect the grid, and prepare contingency plans to maintain uninterrupted power supply for residents, tourists, and businesses.

In Kon Plông commune, at Km76+950, road cracks appeared after heavy rains. The Vice Chairman urged the road management unit to closely monitor, mark hazardous zones, and propose timely solutions to prevent further subsidence.

He also inspected Pa Sỹ Waterfall Tourism Area, where streams were blocked by landslide debris and fallen trees, creating safety risks and affecting the landscape. The Vice Chairman instructed Măng Đen commune and related units to promptly clear waterways, address landslide sites, and ensure infrastructure safety. He also asked local authority to assess damage, provide recovery measures, and submit to the PPC for consideration.
