On August 10, Trần Quốc Tuấn High School held a ceremony to celebrate its 70th anniversary (1955–2025).

Attending the event were U Huấn, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial NA Delegation, and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province; Đặng Ngọc Tùng, former Member of the Party Central Committee and former Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Trần Hoàng Tuấn, former Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the Department of Education and Training, and generations of teachers and students of the school.
In his remarks, Principal Nguyễn Thái An reviewed the school’s 70-year journey. Established in 1955 as Trần Quốc Tuấn Secondary School, it was renamed Trần Quốc Tuấn High School in the 2000–2001 academic year.

From 12 classes with 620 students, 11 teachers, and 3 staff at its inception, the school has grown to 47 classes with 2,086 students and 105 teachers in the 2024–2025 academic year. Over 50 per cent of its teaching staff hold master or doctoral degrees, and more than 85 per cent are recognized as provincial-level excellent teachers.
The school consistently achieves outstanding results, with a 100 per cent pass rate in the national high school graduation exam since 2020. Students have been admitted to prestigious universities, and the school boasts 3,418 provincial-level academic competition winners, 50 national winners, and two international winners.
Trần Quốc Tuấn High School has nurtured generations of outstanding alumni, many of whom have assumed important roles in science, politics, economics, and culture.
With its proud history and achievements, the school has been honored with numerous awards, including the Second-class Labor Order (1995), the First-class Labor Order (2000), the Third-class Independence Order (2005), and the Second-class Independence Order (2015). In 2003, it was recognized as meeting national standards for the 2000–2010 period.
Marking its 70th anniversary in 2025, the school was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for its excellence in teaching, nurturing gifted students, and advancing scientific and technical research, contributing to improving the province’s education quality.
Addressing the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee U Huấn praised the dedication and contributions of the school’s generations of teachers and students.

He urged the school to continue upholding its traditions, striving to be a model institution in implementing the Party’s policies and the State’s laws on education and training.
He emphasized the need to focus on the core tasks for the 2025–2026 academic year, promote the study and following of President Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, morality, and style, and strengthen moral, lifestyle, and aspiration education for students.
He also called for continued reforms in education, encouraging students to be dynamic, creative, and diligent, while identifying and fostering gifted learners for competitions at all levels.
In the context of digital transformation and international integration, he stressed the importance of equipping students with knowledge, critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability to thrive in a digital society, aiming to develop ethical and skilled citizens ready to contribute to the country’s development.
The school receives Certificates of Merit of the PPC’s Chairman
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee presented Certificates of Merit to three individuals. The Department of Education and Training awarded Commendation Certificates to 12 individuals for outstanding achievements in education and training.
