Quảng Ngãi - On June 25, Provincial People's Committee’s chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang led a delegation to inspect preparations for the implementation of the two-tier local government model in Đức Phổ Ward and Vệ Giang Commune.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the readiness of infrastructure, equipment, information systems, and other technical conditions necessary for the model's official operation starting from July 1, 2025.
According to reports from the local authorities, both Đức Phổ Ward and Vệ Giang Commune have completed all essential preparations, including setting up administrative offices, allocating technical resources, and establishing systems for receiving and processing administrative procedures in line with the new model.
Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang highly praised the initiative and responsibility shown by the two localities in proactively preparing for the implementation.
He noted that they had essentially completed the restructuring of working spaces and the deployment of necessary technical and administrative systems, ensuring a smooth start to the new governance model.
He emphasized that the transition to the two-tier local government is not merely an organizational restructuring, but also a significant opportunity to enhance public service quality.
At the heart of this transition is the need to ensure uninterrupted, efficient, and citizen-friendly administrative services.
The Chairman stressed that no delays or inconveniences should be caused to the public during the transition.
Chairman Giang requested that local authorities continue to review all tasks, closely coordinate with specialized agencies to conduct trial operations, and promptly address any arising issues.
He also underscored the importance of applying information technology in handling administrative procedures to increase efficiency and accessibility for citizens.
Staff responsible for receiving and processing applications must be well-trained and capable of meeting the requirements of the new model.
In addition, the Chairman called for timely preparation and completion of the first meetings of the Standing Party Committee, Party Executive Committees, and Party Cells of the new ward and commune-level administrations.
He urged that localities adhere strictly to higher-level directives and timelines for Party Congresses, ensuring full compliance in content and process.
Particularly, he emphasized the importance of thoroughly reviewing existing tasks, records, documents, and assets to ensure a smooth and synchronized transition to the new administrative structure without disruption.
