Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Nguyễn Hoàng Giang on September 17 chaired the regular August 2025 meeting, with the participation of Vice Chairpersons, department leaders, and local representatives via online connection points.
In August and the first eight months of 2025, the province maintained stable socio-political conditions while achieving positive economic growth.
Industrial production rose 11.71 per cent year-on-year, with all major sectors achieving double-digit growth.
Tourism welcomed 3.3 million visitors (up 14 per cent), with international arrivals increasing 2.6 times.
Revenue reached VNĐ 2,100 billion, 80 per cent of the annual target. Budget revenue was estimated at VNĐ 21,487 billion, 57.8 per cent of the year’s plan.
The province also advanced education, healthcare, social security, and cultural preservation, while ensuring national defense, security, and safe livelihoods for fishermen.
External relations and investment promotion were strengthened.
Delegates discussed achievements and challenges, raising issues such as public investment disbursement, land clearance, digital transformation, and welfare policies for civil servants.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman Giang emphasized the need to accelerate key measures in the remaining months of 2025 to meet growth targets, improve budget collection, speed up investment disbursement, and ensure effective operation of the two-tier local government model.
He also urged continued focus on social welfare, ethnic minority support, crime prevention, disaster preparedness, and traffic safety.
