Quảng Ngãi, May 28 - the Provincial Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation (the Provincial Steering Committee) convened its second meeting chaired by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân.
The meeting reviewed initial results of implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on accelerating national development in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
Key achievements
The province has made significant strides, including the establishment of the Provincial Steering Committee, issuance of action plans, and rollout of nearly 60 digital applications and databases, 20 of which are connected to national systems.
Over 97 per cent of administrative procedures have been digitized.
100 per cent of the needs of departmental-level agencies for digitizing the results of administrative procedure settlement that are still in effect have been digitized.
Cybersecurity platforms such as irlab.vn and centralized malware prevention systems have been deployed.
Over 98 per cent of official documents are processed electronically; 90 per cent signed with digital signatures.
Over 800,000 archival documents and thousands of personnel records have successfully been digitized.
Over 81 per cent of businesses are now using electronic contracts.
In her concluding remarks, Secretary Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân emphasized that Resolution 57 presents a vital opportunity for the province’s economic breakthrough.
She called for more decisive, unified actions across all levels and sectors, deeper understanding of central directives, stronger administrative reforms, and full implementation of digital transformation plans.
She also instructed the Provincial People’s Committee to prioritize digital infrastructure, complete the provincial land database for national integration, and strengthen digital transformation in businesses and newly merged local units.
The Steering Committee will continue to guide and monitor the implementation of innovation and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring practical results and long-term development.
