Quảng Ngãi aims to fulfill 2025 State Budget Revenue Target

Quảng Ngãi, May 29- Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, chaired a meeting with leaders of departments, agencies, and localities to review state budget revenue performance over the first five months of 2025 and to set priorities for the coming months.

According to the Department of Finance (DOF), total state budget revenue in the province reached VNĐ 12,820 billion. It included VNĐ 7,512 billion from domestic sources and VNĐ 5,300 billion from import-export activities.

The balanced local budget revenue, as allocated, stood at VNĐ 6,814 billion.

DOF presents the results of state budget revenue

Several revenue sources exceeded expectations, such as foreign-invested enterprises (112.3 per cent), personal income tax (68.9 per cent), mining rights fees (75.8 per cent), public land and state asset revenues (83.9 per cent), and dividends/after-tax profits (315 per cent).

Despite the positive results, departments and businesses acknowledged challenges ahead, which could impact the ability to meet the 2025 target.

To ensure the goal is met, Chairman Giang requested all units and localities to strictly implement Provincial Decision No. 58 and Directive No. 03/CT-UBND on enhancing revenue collection efforts.

He also called for a review of untapped tax sources and potential areas such as land, natural resources, e-commerce, and out-of-province business activities.

Tax authorities were tasked with tightening collection management, resolving collectible tax debt, and mobilizing all possible resources.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Provincial Land Fund Development Center must accelerate land use rights auctions.

DOF was instructed to monitor revenue progress and advise the PPC in a timely manner.

The Authority of Dung Quất Economic Zone and Provincial Industrial Parks was asked to support businesses to maintain stable operations and contribute to budget goals.

Quảng Ngãi Tax Department (Region 12) is responsible for categorizing and recovering outstanding taxes.

Chairman Giang also called on the business community to boost production, increase profits, and ensure stable employment — contributing sustainably to the local budget.

He affirmed that the province would continue to support enterprises in overcoming challenges and growing together.
